Barcelo Crestline Corporation today announced the appointment of Francisco Fuentes to Vice President of Project Management. Mr. Fuentes joins Barcelo Crestline from Coastal Systems Development (CSD) where he successfully managed the design and construction of the Frederiksted Urban Waterfront Revitalization Project in St. Croix, the U.S. Virgin Islands; the Marina Pez Vela in Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; the basic infrastructure development for the Port of Roatan in Honduras; and the initial construction activities of the Crab Cay Development Project in the Bahamas. Mr. Fuentes brings 16 years of expertise in the construction of large international building projects and a deep understanding of cultural differences in the construction industry.

"As we expand our holdings in the Playa Hotels & Resorts portfolio, Francisco will provide expertise and direction in overseeing and managing both new build projects, as well as renovations on our existing properties. Among his first assignments, Francisco will play an integral part in the renovation of the Barcelo Punta Cana Hotel in the Dominican Republic, the Barcelo Ixtapa and the Barcelo La Jolla de Mismaloya Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico," added Wardinski.
Mr. Fuentes began his career with 11 years at Bouygues Batiment International, the International Building Division of the French group Bouygues Construction, a world leader with sales over $6.2 billion. While with Bouygues, his responsibilities included site and in-house design engineering, cost estimating and scheduling, and construction supervision in a variety of countries including France, Spain, Belgium, the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
Mr. Fuentes holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain, and a postgraduate degree in Total Quality Project Management from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris, France.
