The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Britain’s leading travel magazine, has included Long Beach in its ‘100 Best Hotels in the World’ 2011 list.
Every year, ‘The Travel’ – as it is nick named by professionals and readers – reviews the best hotels in the world. In its October 2011 special edition, The Travel has published its round-up of the globe’s best dream-hotels, including Long Beach, which is the only hotel in Mauritius to have been recognised by the influential travel magazine. Long Beach, the latest hotel of Sun Resorts group of hotels, wins its first commendation since its recent opening in April 2011.
“Such an appreciation from The Sunday Times Travel Magazine is a clear recognition of the uniqueness of Long Beach. The reviewers have been extremely pleased with the new concept of the hotel and we know that this will contribute in sharing the good news about this beautiful hotel to the British Market and worldwide too,” says Fabio Piccirillo, Chief Executive Officer of Sun Resorts.
Long Beach is an elegant and affable beach holiday heaven that meets the aspiration of the trendy and sophisticated consumer because of its exceptional beach side location, its unique blend of modern and tropical architecture and landscaping, upbeat atmosphere with superlative service and recreational facilities together with an array of high quality dining experiences.
“Our most recent property, Long Beach, wins here its first commendation and it is an honour that it comes from The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, a reputable publication. Long Beach, since its opening in April 2011, has managed to attract positive comments from travel professionals and individual guests alike,” comments Arnaud Martin, Chief Marketing Officer of Sun Resorts.
The Sunday Times Travel Magazine appreciative comments on Long Beach speak by themselves: “This Indian Ocean Island’s newest opening has caused quite a stir. While other hotels here can tend towards the comfortably old-fashioned, this one is super-modern, in a Miami kind of way.” The Sunday Times Travel Magazine review goes further and pays tribute to this hotel which has its own distinctive characteristics: “Low-level villas sweep up the perfect white beach, each decorated in zingy blue, green and yellow accents. Pools come with double day-beds and five restaurants run the gamut from Chinese to Italian via fresh shellfish.”
