Three Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort team members are recognized for outstanding service
The AAA Four Diamond Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa is pleased to announce that three of its resort executives have been nominated for the Hyatt 2010 Annual Awards: Brian Kramer for General Manager of the Year; Nancy Longstreth for Director of Sales and Marketing of the Year; and Andrea Honan for Director of Catering of the Year.
“We are truly honored to be nominated for the Hyatt 2010 Annual Awards, particularly as this was our inaugural year,” said General Manager Brian Kramer. “My fellow nominees truly represent the best of the best in our industry and have helped the resort achieve a wealth of accomplishments in its first year, including the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award and the Three Green Keys Award by the Green Key Eco-rating Program.”
The February 2010 opening placed significant pressure and high expectations on the resort’s executive team, marking only the second time in a quarter-century that a new beach resort was built in Pinellas County and the first time that a waterfront Hyatt was available on Florida’s west coast. In addition, the resort served as the centerpiece of the city’s new Beach Walk, a $30 million revitalization project that has brought a half-mile of world-class shopping, dining and entertainment to Clearwater Beach.
“Our experienced team used this challenge as a driving force to succeed, leading the resort to surpass initial occupancy and revenue projections,” said Kramer. “They raised the bar for hospitality and tourism in the area by introducing a whole new level of luxury and service.”
The final winners of the Hyatt 2010 Annual Awards will be announced on Friday, March 4, 2011, in Chicago, Illinois.
