Windstar Cruises, which operates a three-ship fleet of luxury yachts that explore hidden harbors and secluded coves of the world's most treasured destinations, has been recognized by Porthole Cruise Magazine as the "Most Romantic Cruise Line" for the sixth time in a row by readers in the 12th Annual "Best of Cruising" Reader's Choice Awards.
Several thousand readers cast their ballots in the 12th Annual Reader's Choice Awards voting in a variety of categories. The full list of awards can be found on the magazine's website www.porthole.com. Winners are also featured in the December 2010 issue of Porthole Cruise Magazine.
Each year, honeymooners and couples celebrating special occasions sail on Windstar due to the yachts' romantic ambience. In 2011, Windstar debuts a new collection of extraordinary voyages to some of the most romantic ports in Europe including Amsterdam, Netherlands; Copenhagen, Denmark; St. Petersburg, Russia; Stockholm, Sweden; Oslo, Norway; and Bruges, Belgium.
In addition to Porthole Cruise Magazine's award, Windstar Cruises has been recognized by some of the most notable names in the travel and lifestyle world in 2010. Celebrated Living, American Airlines' prestigious publication for first class passengers,named Windstar Cruises "Best Small-Ship/Mid-Ship Cruise Line" on their Platinum Listfor the fourth time in a row. Windstar Cruises was also recognized by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the "Top Small Ship Cruise Lines," listed on theirannual Gold List of "Best Cruise Lines" and all three Windstar yachts were honored in the "Best Small Ships" Reader's Poll. Windstar was also selected by Travel + Leisure as one of the top five "World's Best Small-Ship Cruise Lines."
