The Marcus Corporation (NYSE:MCS) today announced members of the company’s management team and Board of Directors will celebrate its 75th anniversary by ringing The Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
“75 years is an incredible achievement for The Marcus Corporation,” said Gregory S. Marcus, president and chief executive officer of The Marcus Corporation. “A lot has changed since my grandfather, Ben Marcus, opened his first movie theatre in Ripon, Wisconsin, on November 1, 1935. Our ability to embrace change and make it work to our advantage is based on a set of guiding philosophies Ben established 75 years ago. These philosophies were further strengthened by Stephen H. Marcus, my father and our current chairman, and will continue to guide our future.”
