Five minutes by ferry from Midtown Manhattan, newly renovated property offers great value and spacious alternatives to smaller more expensive rooms found in comparable NYC hotels
As Sheraton Hotels and Resorts continues a $6 billion global enhancement of its brand, the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel in Weehawken, NJ will be one of the first NY/NJ hotels to complete the refurbishment. The Sheraton Lincoln Harbor will embrace the brand's new upgraded standards with an $18-million dollar revitalization touching virtually every aspect of the contemporary riverfront property. Among the hotel's enhancements: the introduction of the Link@Sheraton, the brand's new lobby-based connectivity hub; a new restaurant overlooking the Hudson River; and 347 eco-friendly, tech-savvy guest rooms with keyless entry, "green" wallpaper and CFL-lit workspaces.
The renovations begin at the door. A new lobby entrance will better showcase the hotel's riverfront location and underscore its nautical theme. Under the direction of Stonehill & Taylor, the New York-based architectural and design firm, the lobby will be completely redesigned to feature the Link@Sheraton alongside friendlier check-in "pods," flat-screen monitors and contemporary furnishings. A collection of museum-quality antique nautical maps of the Hudson River celebrate the area's rich maritime heritage.
Already a favorite of business travelers, the hotel's 347 newly redesigned guest rooms will have a fresh, modern tone. Rooms feature a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper® bed with leather upholstered headboards and the brand's signature bedding, two flat-screen televisions, work and living areas with marble-topped furnishings and Bose sound systems. New bathrooms feature imported marble and tiled showers and Shine by Bliss bath amenities. Twenty-eight Club level suites offer access to the stylish Club Lounge, where Club guests and Starwood Platinum members enjoy complimentary breakfast and afternoon snacks daily and evening cocktails and hors d'oeuvres Tuesday through Thursday. The Club Lounge features a game table, two flat-screen televisions, computer station and complimentary Wi-Fi access.
Noting the hotel's appeal to business travelers, general manager David Chu said, "This hotel is an obvious choice for anyone traveling to New York on business. Beyond its strategic location, we offer spacious guest rooms at a great value compared to many accommodations just five minutes by ferry across the Hudson," referencing the hotel's front-door access to the New York Waterway's regularly scheduled departures. "In under 10 minutes, our guests can be in the heart of midtown Manhattan."
Overlooking the Hudson River, the hotel's glamorous new Masina Trattoria Italiana will open July 23 serving home-style Italian specialties such as Grilled Octopus, Cauliflower Carbonara, Osso Bucco and Scarpariello. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner for hotel guests and the public with seating indoor and out. Masina takes its name from Giulietta Masina, the beloved post-war actress and wife of the celebrated Italian director Federico Fellini.
The hotel features 9,800 square feet of renovated meeting space, including several rooms with spectacular views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline, ample natural light and the full range of audio-visual equipment. The hotel can accommodate groups of ten to 150 in a variety of configurations.
For those who seek to stay in shape while on the road, the hotel offers a well-equipped Fitness Center and a heated indoor swimming pool on the first floor. A jogging route map along Hudson River is also available.
Located in the heart of Weehawken's historic Lincoln Harbor neighborhood and offering unparalleled views of New York City, the riverfront Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel features 347 spacious guest rooms (including 27 premier suites), flexible meeting space, a full-service restaurant, fitness center and indoor pool. The property is just five minutes by ferry from midtown Manhattan, within easy walking distance of the restaurants and shops of Hoboken, NJ and in close proximity to the Meadowlands Arena and Jersey City central business district. The Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel is owned by Hartz Mountain Industries.
