Expedia® travellers have ranked Siem Reap’s iconic Hôtel de la Paix among the world’s best hotels on this year’s Expedia Insiders’ SelectTM list. The list formally recognises individual hotels worldwide that consistently deliver excellent service, a great overall experience and notable value. The full list represents only the cream of the world’s top hotels, from over 110,000 properties offered on Expedia.

“Delivering our guests superior service is a top priority at Hôtel de la Paix,” said general manager Wendy Morris. “We are pleased that our efforts have been acknowledged by Expedia travellers and look forward to extending our high level of service to even more guests.”

The 2010 Expedia Insiders’ SelectTM list is compiled based on the more than one million Traveller Opinions hotel reviews collected by Expedia, combined with a value rating and the local market expertise of more than 400 Expedia employees in local markets worldwide, resulting in an easy-to-browse list that provides travellers with a powerful way to find the perfect hotel using the trusted insight of other travellers like them. The list showcases the diverse selection of travel destinations and hotel properties.

Close to the cultural and historic heart of Cambodia, Hôtel de la Paix is a luxury boutique hotel within easy reach of Siem Reap’s colourful markets and vibrant nightlife; and just a few kilometres from the breathtaking temple complexes of Angkor Wat, often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Khmer culture is celebrated in every aspect of style and service at Hôtel de la Paix, from the Meric Restaurant, with its seasonally inspired local cuisine to the Arts Lounge, which pays tribute to Cambodian artists; and Spa Indochine, which offers signature traditional treatments.

Each of Hôtel de la Paix’s 107 spacious, beautifully appointed en suite rooms features chic interiors and contemporary furnishings complimented by intricate wall mountings and handcrafted lamps, creating a balance between modern design and traditional detailing.
