‘World’s most travelled man’ lauds picture-postcard paradise island

The Seychelles’ leading luxury eco resort, Frégate Island Private has added to its impressive list of accolades, with the ‘world’s most travelled man’ naming the island as one of the 10 most spectacular places in the world to photograph in the April issue of the British Journal of Photography. Frégate Island Private is the only destination in the Indian Ocean to feature in the list.

The top 10 places were picked for the British Journal of Photography by Charles Veley, the self-styled world’s most travelled man. Having visited all 193 countries recognised by the United Nations, Charles is currently working through all 678 additional islands, atolls and protectorates listed on his website, www.mosttraveledpeople.com, and named Frégate as one of the 10 most photogenic of the total of 815 destinations he has visited so far.

An island of outstanding natural beauty, Frégate is a blissfully peaceful eco retreat with verdant, tropical interiors and an abundance of unique fauna and flora, the preservation, protection and nurture of which is a fundamental raison d’être. The island boasts seven dream beaches, including Anse Victorin - regularly recognised as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world - with its brilliant sweep of powdery white sand framed by giant granite boulders and lush, indigenous vegetation.

Prices for direct bookings start from €1,300 (approx. GB£1,131 at today’s exchange rate) per person per night, based on two sharing for a minimum three night stay on a full board basis, excluding tax and service. For more information on Frégate Island Private, and for reservations, please call tel: +49 69 86 00 42 980, e-mail: reservations@fregate.com, or visit the website at www.fregate.com.
