The culinary team of The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali recognized for exceptional culinary expertise at the prestigious national culinary competition ‘Salon Culinaire 2010’ at the 7th International Exhibition for Equipment, Food, Beverages and Services with exceptional awards and accolades.



The event was organised by Bali Culinary Professional hosted from 11 March to 13 March 2010 at the Bali International Convention Centre. Over 270 chefs and culinary professionals from restaurants, resorts, hotels and villas in Indonesia. The Laguna’s culinary team, lead by the award-winning Executive Chef I Made Putra (Indonesia’s Chef of The Year and Regional King of Kitchen) won various awards from number of awards category including:

The Salon Culinaire 2010 competition organised by Bali Culinary Professionals included a category for junior chefs, Jeune Commis Rotisseur. Other new categories featured were elegant stylish wedding cake decoration, fusion sushi platter display and Individual Hot Cooking Norwegian Seafood. Approximately 270 chefs from hotels and restaurants entered this competition. The winners in each class were defined into categories of gold with distinction, gold, silver and bronze, based on the total score received. A total of 122 awards were handed out, consisting of 1 gold with distinction award, 23 gold awards, 31 silver awards and 67 bronze awards were presented during the competition.
