New Learning and Leadership Development Facility to Open in 2011

Benchmark Hospitality International, the leading, privately-held hospitality management company in the United States, announces the addition of Deloitte University to its management portfolio. The state-of-the-art learning and leadership development facility, which is currently being constructed in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Westlake, Texas, is scheduled to open in 2011 and will serve as a proprietary meetings facility for Deloitte. Benchmark Hospitality has been providing technical services to Deloitte in support of the new facility since 2008. Burt Cabañas, chairman and chief executive officer of Benchmark Hospitality International, made the announcement.

"We are immensely honored that Deloitte has selected our company to operate this important new learning and leadership development facility," said Mr. Cabañas. "We look forward to Deloitte University's opening, and to providing the most productive learning environment and extraordinary service possible to Deloitte as the company grows its leaders of the future."

With this facility, Deloitte, recently named No. 1 on BusinessWeek magazine's 50 Best Places to Launch a Career ranking, is investing approximately $300 million in its people, creating a state-of-the-art learning and leadership development environment. Deloitte University will serve as a central destination for all of Deloitte's talent - from newly hired staff and senior leadership to partners, principals and directors.

The 700,000+ square-foot learning and leadership development facility will feature 35 classrooms and many informal learning spaces as well as extensive meeting space and conference facilities, which will host leadership events, educational forums with professors from nationally recognized universities and colleges, and networking events. Facility activities will enable Deloitte's people to develop and grow as a result of their connection with business and industry leaders, academia, mentors, and colleagues. Deloitte University will also feature dining venues, a ballroom, a business center, recreational facilities, a fitness center, and 800 guestrooms.

Deloitte University is being constructed according to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards, established by the U.S. Green Building Council. Green considerations are a top priority for all aspects of the facility, including design, construction, and operations.

In addition to the direct benefit for Deloitte and its people, Deloitte University is also expected to provide economic benefits to the Westlake and Dallas/Fort Worth regions.
