Conde Nast Johansens "Most Excellent Small Hotel" award is newest accolade for enhanced property on historic Beacon Hill
XV Beacon continues to secure its cornerstone in the hospitality industry as an award-winning hotel earning a trifecta of awards as it celebrates its 10th anniversary. Boston's first independent, boutique hotel garners its third award in recent months with new accolade, "Most Excellent Small Hotel in the U.S. and Canada" by Conde Nast Johansens. This award comes on the heels of XV Beacon winning "World's Best Hotel for Business in the U.S.," and one of the "Top 500 World's Best Hotels," both by Travel + Leisure magazine. As XV Beacon marks its 10th anniversary with new property-wide enhancements and three new accolades, the hotel celebrates with a special "10% off Residents Rate" in addition to their existing special packages and promotions.
An honor coveted within the worldwide hotel industry, Conde Nast Johansens' "Most Excellent" awards are made each year to properties that represent the finest standards and best value in luxury and independent accommodations. Conde Nast Johansens recommends "only properties that meet our standards, so the Awards for Excellence winners represent the very best of the best."
XV Beacon does indeed set the bar for the finest standards and best value in luxury accommodations, considerate amenities, and unexpected comforts. In fact, the hotel has spent the past year enhancing its guest experience, in anticipation of its 10th anniversary in 2010. General Manager Amy Finsilver, who took the helm in 2008, has added new creativity in managing all hotel operations, overseeing upgrades to each of 60 custom-designed guestrooms and all public spaces. She also initiated a new pet program that assures over-the-top comfort for canines while funding the MSPCA, and new "green" efforts that include a recycling program, washing options and a "lights out" program. Other new amenities will roll out later this year.
XV Beacon invites Boston residents to celebrate its recent honors and 10 years in the community with the hotel's new "10% off Residents Rate." For the next 10 weeks (valid through March 26, 2010), Boston residents can enjoy 10% off on overnight accommodations and 10% off dinners and drinks at signature restaurant, Mooo... Another noteworthy example of how XV Beacon caters to its local community.
Prominently placed and conveniently located, the 60-room XV Beacon is situated in a turn-of-the-20th-century Beaux-Arts building on Boston's historic Beacon Hill. Each of the hotel's rooms is individually designed with Italian-inspired decor. Guests enjoy queen-size four-poster beds or king-size bed studio rooms, in-room fireplaces, complimentary high-speed Internet access, 300-thread-count linen sheets, complimentary Lexus sedan service, and museum-quality artwork throughout. Mooo... restaurant and its subterranean Wine Cellar are not to be missed. The latter holds an immense collection of 750 selections and 4,000 bottles of fine and rare wine dating from the 1700s to present day. Standard rates at XV Beacon begin at $250 - $575 for "Classic Rooms" per night/double occupancy, based on availability.
