Romania's leading hotel group becomes part of the VOILÀ HOTEL REWARDS global network
Continuing to rapidly expand its global presence, VOILÀ Hotel Rewards today announced a new partnership with Continental Hotels in Romania. Under the terms of the agreement, Continental Hotels takes its place as the fifth member of the VOILÀ rewards chain. Members may now earn and redeem points at Continental Hotels, as well as with Husa Hotels, Coral Hotels & Resorts, Hoteles Lucerna, and via the Great Hotels Rewards network.
Established in 1991, Continental Hotels is Romania's first hotel chain and the country's top hotel group. The chain is known for providing excellent services for business and leisure travelers throughout Romania. Continental Hotels' properties are currently located in the cities of Bucharest, Arad, Oradea, Portile de Fier, Sibiu, Suceava, Tirgu-Mures, Timisu de Sus and Turnu Severin.
"VOILÀ has done an outstanding job growing their reward programme from two hotel groups in 2008 to a provider of programmes at five hotel groups today. Our alliance with VOILÀ will enable Continental Hotels to expand and enhance the services we provide our thousands of loyal guests each year," said Mr. Radu Enache, CEO of Continental Hotels. "VOILÀ brings an experienced team of hospitality and reward programme professionals and we look forward to the continued growth and success this partnership will provide."
VOILÀ is the first points-based frequent guest programme that unites a network of hotels who co-brand their programmes under the VOILÀ umbrella. Enrollment in the VOILÀ programme is free and members earn points for their stays that can later be redeemed for complimentary nights and other exciting reward options. Members also enjoy personalized benefits based upon their customer profiles. Currently, VOILÀ supports hotels and guests in over 120 cities on five continents and is expected to add several other leading independent hotel groups soon.
VOILÀ's pay-as-you-go revenue share model and quick time to market has made it a success among independent hotel operators. A May 2009 study completed by the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (INTEHL) at École hôtelière de Lausanne, found 90% of hotel managers who participated in VOILÀ for more than six months stated it "helps generate increased revenue" and they "strongly believe in the programme."
"Since our launch last year, our goal has been to provide members with point earnings and award opportunities at some of the world's most well-run independent hotel groups," said Gabi Kool, VOILÀ's senior vice president and managing director. "We truly believe corporate travelers are looking for alternatives to the standard global mega-brands. By linking a large number of leading independent hotel groups and offering consistent recognition, members can stay in original and inspiring places while earning reward points. We couldn't be more excited to welcome Continental Hotels as our newest partner. We look forward to introducing the VOILÀ experience to travelers in Romania and to our members all over the world."
