Alila Ubud and Alila Manggis were awarded the “2008 GOH Manager’s Choice” at Garuda Orient Holidays’ (GOH) fifth annual ‘Bali Achievement Awards and Appreciation Cocktails’ function held in Nusa Dua recently. Jork Bosselaar, General Manager of Alila Ubud, received the award from Poerwoko Soeparyono, Director of GOH and Senior General Manager, Garuda Indonesia, Australia and South West Pacific, on behalf of both resorts.
“It is a great honour to receive such recognition from GOH, who are a long term friend and major supporter of Bali, especially as our Ubud and Manggis resorts are the only properties outside the central tourism areas to receive a GOH award. A genuine ‘thank you’ is due to both teams in Ubud and Manggis, for their passion and genuine joy in welcoming guests!” said Jork Bosselaar.
GOH, a member of the Garuda Indonesia group of companies (GA), is one of Bali’s top Australian supporters. GA is committed to supporting the entire spectrum of products and services found in the tourism and hospitality industry of not just Bali, but throughout Indonesia.
"The GOH management team unanimously voted Alila Ubud and Alila Manggis winners of the GOH Manager’s Choice award in recognition of their professionalism and kind support towards us," said Nick Deacock, GOH Product Manager.
The GOH annual ‘Bali Achievement Awards and Appreciation Cocktails’ function is a regular feature of the Bali industry social calendar, and this year brought together almost 100 General Managers and senior representatives from Bali’s tourism and hospitality industry, which has seen a strong revival from the Australian market in recent years.
