Baltimore’s Newest Hotel To Open August 22nd with City’s Largest Number of Rooms, Unprecedented Views of Camden Yards

The brand-new Hilton Baltimore will open its doors on August 22nd and to celebrate, the hotel is offering a special grand opening rate of $199* per night for a limited time, from August 24 through September 7, 2008. The $301 million city-owned property will be the first hotel in the area providing guests with direct access to the Baltimore Convention Center via an enclosed pedestrian sky bridge.

Conveniently located in Baltimore’s scenic inner harbor, directly adjacent to Camden Yards providing picturesque views of Oriole Park, home of the Baltimore Orioles, the 757-room hotel offers more rooms than any other hotel in the city. The hotel\'s fitness center, featuring equipment by Precor® USA, also boasts floor-to-ceiling window views overlooking the playing field. Hilton Baltimore’s on-site restaurant, Diamond Tavern, boasts 20 high-definition televisions, providing the ideal setting for game day festivities around the world. Diamond Tavern is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, serving American cuisine in a sophisticated yet relaxed setting. Guests will also enjoy a café, lobby lounge, heated indoor pool, and an outdoor terrace.

Hilton Baltimore will feature the work of more than 30 local artists using a variety of mediums including enamel, glass mosaic and steel. The hotel will also boast a 32,000 square foot green roof – the city’s largest – located on the east and west buildings of the property.

All guestrooms feature Hilton Serenity Collection™ bedding and bath experience with Suite Dreams® plush-top mattress, down duvet and pillows, and exclusive Crabtree & Evelyn La Source® bath products. Guests will enjoy sizable in-room work stations, including a 37-inch plasma screen television, an ergonomic desk chair, two phones, and high-speed Internet access. Executive Floor guests are welcomed with private check-in and access to an honor bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres in the hotel’s Executive Lounge.

Guests can also take advantage of Hilton Baltimore’s close proximity to legendary sport stadiums, world class museums, top-notch restaurants, as well as nationally renowned shopping and performing arts venues, all within walking distance of the hotel.
