Long staying visitors will soon find two floors of stylish, new luxury accommodation in Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel when La Residenza opens this May.
Located on levels five and six of the hotel, La Residenza will feature 24 lofty, high-ceilinged one or two bedroom units, sweeping gallery-like corridors and a rich combination of contemporary design and luxurious touches.
With inviting interiors designed by award-winning and internationally acclaimed Warner Wong Design, guests will be greeted at the reception by a hand-tufted custom rug bursting with rich, bright hues framed with marble and a visual centrepiece of an illuminated baccut onyx feature column. Each room will feature a blend of natural materials and contrasting textures, which offers commanding patterns, strong lines, and calming colour combinations. Evenly scaled, unique and unexpected furniture, artwork, and accessories will be signatures of La Residenza, balanced by an earth toned colour palette. It is the ultimate executive haven, uniting sophistication with the poetry of steel and the splendour of wood.
Venturing beyond traditional limitations, the design boils down to an avant-garde approach. The result is a home that flows effortlessly from one room to the next. La Residenza will showcase a suite-within-a-suite concept; some units will boast balconies where one can lap up the serene view of the Singapore River and downtown skyline.
Hip without being haughty, the design offers functional originality, incorporating a range of imported materials in elements including custom-made furniture and carpeted flooring. Optical intelligence was also employed in the design of special cabinets, which allows for the kitchenette and sundry equipment to be concealed seamlessly and appears like wall panelling. A frosted glass sliding screen which separates the living area from the dining room further boasts the versatile home and office concept where guests can live, work and entertain within the same space.
The rooms will feature special touches, big and small, from king beds with timber headboards fixed with extendable reading lights, motorised blinds, flat screen TV, computer-equipped workspace, separate washer and dryer and a Corian-top kitchenette inclusive of equipment such
as a refrigerator, oven, induction cooker and a wine fridge. The bathrooms will continue the luxury theme marble counter tops, compressed marble flooring, standing shower, luxurious bathtub and a separate powder room for guests.
All rooms will be outfitted with the latest wireless technology that will be deployed exclusively to each room that will enable guests to enjoy the luxury of surfing the net from any point in the room. The IP (Internet Protocol) phones that will be housed in the rooms will be state-of-the-art that will incorporate the latest in digital telephony technology, combined with the ability to deliver rich content applications to the guests. This will include hotel information, weather forecasts, guest and room services applications. Guests will also enjoy luxuries such as music streaming from MP3 players to the in-room audio system.
Guests at La Residenza will have other luxury amenities, which the hotel offers to enjoy during their stay. Café Brio’s will offer casual all-day dining, while a second restaurant, Pontini, will feature Italian gourmet fare, service and ambience. Additional amenities include a business centre, serviced offices, conference facilities and a health/fitness centre.
“La Residenza will provide a different level of service, amenities and surroundings. When your travel demands more than transient comfort, one will be able to experience that lasting luxury here,” said John Sartain, General Manager of Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.
Release your tensions and be treated to an intimate and elegant stimulation of the senses with the exquisitely styled apartments and unrivalled level of service. An introductory package will be available for hip urbanites in for a visit who like a lick of luxury.
