Preffered Hotel Group presents results, opportunities and innovation (Thailand)

In a recent Asia Pacific Regional Meeting held in Bangkok

Preferred Hotel Group recently held their Asia Pacific Regional Meeting at The Landmark Bangkok, Thailand, a member of Summit Hotels & Resorts™. The event was well attended by independent hoteliers and the Preferred Hotel Group team from over 10 countries across the region, as well as senior management from the U.S. - John Ueberroth, Chairman and CEO; Lindsey Ueberroth, Vice President, Brand Development and Deena Kaufman, Senior Vice President, Revenue & Distribution Management. Since its Asia Pacific office in Hong Kong opened in 2005, Preferred Hotel Group member portfolio has grown expeditiously from 13 to 47 hotels by the first quarter of 2008.

The Regional Meeting was focused on the theme - Results, Opportunities and Innovation. A significant factor in the success of Preferred Hotel Group is the Results, which are evident in the statistics showing an incredible growth of 42% in revenue and 36% in room nights from the previous year. Strong marketing alliances with partners such as American Express, an increase in sales and marketing associates in the region, and the group's own guest benefit program - I Prefer™ - with over 120,000 members present relevant Opportunities for hotels to reach the right consumers, corporate companies and travel trade globally. Innovation sets Preferred Hotel Group apart from its competitors with continuous upgrades to technology and guest programs. The group launched the new look for I Prefer collateral, announced the launch of new brand websites and partnership with TIG Global to provide web services to its member hotels.

In addition to sessions provided by senior Preferred Hotel Group management, key speakers from the industry were invited to provide their valuable insights. IDeaS Revenue Optimization presented ideas on how hotels can create optimal conditions to outperform the competition; PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association) revealed statistical data on travel patterns within the region; American Express highlighted the needs and spending pattern of the Luxury Consumer; and Travel+Leisure Southeast Asia provided 'food for thought' on the ever-changing consumer travel trends.

The meeting was also an ideal opportunity to introduce new Asia Pacific associates which has rapidly increased in response to the needs in this fast-growing region. The overall headcount doubled across the region with new appointments and promotions.
