The Rezidor Hotel Group arrives in East Africa’s largest city, Nairobi/Kenya: The company will manage the new Radisson Hotel Nairobi featuring 244 rooms located in Upper Hill, the upscale new financial and business district of Nairobi. The hotel is scheduled to open in early 2010.
“Nairobi meets our growth strategy and underlines how important East Africa is for our further development in key cities and resort destinations”, comments Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. “We see a promising potential in this region and are glad to be present in Nairobi, East Africa's commercial and aid hub.”
The Radisson Hotel Nairobi is owned by Elgon Road Developments Limited and will include a restaurant with private dinning, a bar lounge, a coffee shop, 10 conference rooms, a large ballroom, a swimming pool and sundeck, a garden with terrace and wellness/fitness facilities.
From the wildlife to the nightlife, Nairobi is a city unlike any other. With a fantastic music scene, excellent international restaurants and an endless and colourful array of shops and markets, there is plenty on offer for the visitor. Just outside the city is Nairobi National Park, 113 square kilometres of plains, cliffs and forest. The park is home to large herds of Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo, Giraffe and more. Rhino, Cheetah, and a large number of Lions are all found here, living wild within 20 minutes of the city.
