Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is pleased to announce the opening of its 75th property, Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, located on the banks of the Mississippi at the centre of one of the Midwest's most vibrant lifestyle and entertainment developments.

The 200-room Hotel is part of Lumiere Place on Laclede's Landing, a $507 million revitalization project including an upscale casino, restaurants, and retail. Rising 19-stories, the Hotel's defining feature is a ribbon of light 198 m long (650-ft) wrapping the edges of the building. The 500,000 LED lights can produce 16 million shades and a wide array of patterns that continuously refreshes the overall appearance of the Hotel.

Modern and innovative, yet comfortable and welcoming, the Hotel's 200 guest rooms and suites offer sweeping views of the city, the Gateway Arch, and the Mississippi. Designed by Brayton & Hughes of San Francisco, the rooms have a bright and airy ambience, highlighted with a neutral colour palette and the use of light, warm wood.

Gourmet palates will relish the Hotel's Italian restaurant, Cielo. Named for the Italian word meaning sky, Cielo's floor to ceiling windows are a fitting backdrop to the contemporary Italian cuisine on offer. The flavour-rich cuisine showcases the finest regional ingredients and artisanal products, including handmade pastas, breads and farm-fresh cheeses. An extensive wine list that emphasizes selections from both Italy and California complements the menu. Chef Karen Hoffman, who relocates from Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco, leads a team of 30 talented kitchen staff that hail from around the world as well as from St. Louis.

The 1115 m(2) (12,000 ft(2)) Spa is a standout, featuring the city's most comprehensive range of services and amenities. With twelve treatments rooms as well as a heat experiential room, couples' suite, relaxation lounges, indoor water features, and steam rooms, guests and locals alike will seek this exceptional urban retreat. Treatments fuse ancient Ayurvedic principles with modern techniques to help harmonize the mind, body and spirit. In addition to the Spa, hotel guests have access to a 510 m(2) (5,500 ft(2)) Fitness Centre with personal trainers on hand to assist with the state-of-the-art cardiovascular and weight training equipment.

Whether in the Grand Ballroom with a capacity of 900 people or the most intimate private function suite, the Hotel will be the venue of choice for those wanting to host elegant, sophisticated events. Up-to-the-minute technology will make meetings more productive and will enhance every gathering.

Combining Midwestern hospitality with warm and welcoming service and an exceptional ambience, Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis is worth discovering.
