Six Senses Spas has introduced a new urban spa and gym experience promoting a distinct approach to well-being by combining uniquely designed holistic fitness training programmes with personalized spa treatments. The Gym by Six Senses Spas at Hotel Arts Barcelona is the first gymnasium that the multi-award winning spa brand has opened.

Situated on the ground floor of the hotel, with private access from the street, The Gym by Six Senses Spas provides a limited number of guests and members with the opportunity to undertake innovative fitness sessions. Internationally qualified wellness coaches cover a broad range of modern exercise techniques including personal training and wellness activities such as Tai Chi, Pilates and Yoga.

The Gym by Six Senses Spas is dedicated to achieving lifestyle changes. Each holistic fitness session is individualized to ensure every moment of a guest’s workout time is dedicated to achieving specific personal goals and mental well-being. The duration of sessions can be thirty or eighty minutes, with benefits including improved flexibility and muscle tone, development of cardiovascular resistance and mental alertness, and an overall lifestyle adjustment.

Fitness programmes at The Gym by Six Senses Spas are supported with tailor-made Spa Express treatments administered by therapists who embrace the philosophy of Balancing Senses – ensuring the individual needs of members and guests are achieved. The Spa Express menu includes short stimulating sessions of twenty-five minutes or more combining stress relief and pampering therapies with an extensive range of wellness modalities to balance the five senses, and beyond.

Sheron Boddy, Regional Spa Director Europe, commented “This is an exciting development for Six Senses Spas as we offer a lifestyle experience with an integrated approach to exercise, ensuring all aspects of our guest’s and member’s wellness needs are met”.

The gym facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including Pilates and kinesis equipment plus five treatment rooms, steam and sauna, and spacious changing areas.

Offering exclusive memberships, The Gym by Six Senses Spas is complimented by The Spa by Six Senses Spas at Hotel Arts - which affords breathtaking views over the Mediterranean from its location on the 42nd and 43rd floors of the hotel.
