From glittering marble to the most opulent floral arrangements, from fine porcelain to the most sumptuous banquets, the Parisian luxury hotel industry has pulled out all the stops this week to immerse DUCO France participants in exceptional French luxury. A veritable showcase of French elegance, celebrating hotel excellence, majestic chandeliers, exceptional flavours and settings of rare beauty.

DUCO France, dedicated to the French luxury hotel industry, exists to give a taste of France to travel agents, mainly American, searching for inspiration for their clients who have already seen or experienced everything.

The ultra-selective event kicked off with a day of meetings between the international press and representatives of French luxury hotels at the Bristol Paris. The event culminated in the participants joining The Peninsula Paris for an enchanting evening of Bridgerton.

‘Good food is the foundation of genuine happiness’. It was with these words from the famous chef Auguste Escoffier that Carolina Perez, founder of the show, launched this fourth edition of DUCO France. The words of the famous chef Auguste Escoffier resonate with this year's theme, ‘Appétit’. In addition to the exceptional dishes concocted by chef David Bizet and his teams, Vincent Pimont, general manager of the Peninsula, took all those present on a journey through the history of French gastronomy.

The event also included an emotional presentation of the DUCO Awards. The lucky winners were cheered by the crowd, especially Sophie Volant, Director of the Hôtel du Cap Eden Roc, who was delighted to win the coveted title of Best Hotelier for the second time. Julien Chefdor was delighted to receive the award for Best Charming Hotel with less than 51 rooms for the Villa La Coste Hôtel & Spa, which he manages. Vincent Billiard, manager of the Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, was delighted to see his hotel crowned in the Maison Emblématique category, awarded to hotels with more than 51 rooms. Finally, receptives and DMCs were also honoured at DUCO, and Queen of Clubs stood out by winning the Award for Unique Experience Provider.

DUCO France continues until Thursday in the lounges of the Hôtel Potocki and at some of Paris's finest addresses, including the Hôtel de Crillon, Fouquet's Paris, the George V, La Réserve Paris and many others.
