Located in Paris, just a stone's throw from luxury hotels such as the Royal Monceau and the Bristol, the school is one of its kind, dedicated to hospitality management.
The courses are taught almost exclusively by professionals from the luxury and hospitality sectors, and are tailored to the needs of both students and professionals undergoing retraining.
In line with its commitment to offering training “for all”, the school is first offering students with the equivalent of a BTS diploma a one-year Bachelor's degree in luxury hotel operations management, in French and internationally, in partnership with the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH). Students with a baccalaureate can also take a VET by EHL course, which marks the Luxury Hotelschool's first French partnership. This two-year vocational training program in hotel administration combines theoretical courses with practical workshops, and is a preparation for the behaviors and know-how expected by the luxury hotel industry.
Graduates of these Bachelors programs can continue their studies by enrolling in one of the two Masters programs offered by Luxury Hotelschool: a Master of Business Administration in Luxury Hospitality Management and a Master of Science in International Hospitality and Tourism Management.
These two-year courses, similar to those offered at business schools, prepare students both theoretically and practically to acquire the essential skills needed to manage luxury hotel organizations. They cover areas such as corporate strategy, growth levers, change management, business development, operational and collaborative management, as well as interculturality, while offering solid field experience through a minimum of six months' internship in a luxury hotel, spread over the 18 months of training. With a view to adapting its courses to the needs of all students, the school is offering a staggered start to the academic year in January 2025, aimed particularly at students at the end of their “césure” (gap year), who are retraining or reorienting.
This practical expertise lies at the heart of the school's educational project: firstly, through a panel of experienced professionals and professors who supervise students on a daily basis, but also in the experiences offered to discover the world of luxury, as a customer, to master its codes: nights in palaces, visits, trips or even discovering Michelin-starred restaurants.
End-of-year internships in luxury hotels, both in France and abroad, are made possible by partnerships with groups and hotels, to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to practice their trade.
Professionals already working in the industry, from within the sector or in retraining, can take part in tailor-made training courses, develop their skills, follow and anticipate changes in professions and services, develop the customer experience and improve the performance, loyalty, motivation and career development of their employees.
These training courses are tailored to the specific needs and themes of professionals: improving operational performance and motivation, AI, innovations and technologies, or luxury codes, hospitality principles and customer relations.
Olivier Deveaud, Director of the Luxury Hotels School, sees luxury and its teaching as “an environment where management must be at the service of teams, where support prevails over supervision, where training is backed up by individual and human relationships. Demands are a necessity in management but must be exercised with benevolence”. The values of respect, closeness and exacting standards, on the part of both students and teaching staff, are the hallmarks of this teaching approach.
In keeping with this commitment to excellence, the school's management teams ensure that students graduating with a Bachelor's or Master's degree are quickly integrated into the world of work, thanks to a network of alumni, including such industry greats as Etienne Haro, General Manager of The Mark hotel in New York, and Fabrice Afuta, General Manager of the Raphaël hotel in Paris, as well as job forums with recruiters from leading hotels.
The Luxury Hotelschool is a benchmark in luxury hotel management training, offering its students a tailor-made education combining theory and practice, just a stone's throw from the Parisian palaces. Thanks to its prestigious partnerships, varied and tailored training courses, and solid professional network, the school enables its graduates, whether returnees or students, to integrate rapidly into the demanding world of luxury hotels. Driven by the values of excellence and caring, Luxury Hotelschool is a springboard to excellence for those aspiring to a career in this exceptional sector.
