The International Academy of the Visual Arts, highly respected throughout the media, interactive, advertising and marketing industries, recently awarded the MGM Grand website, www.mgmgrand.com, with the W3 Gold Award in the Hotel/Lodging category.
Receiving more than 2,700 entries, the International Academy of the Visual Arts W3 Awards honor outstanding websites, web marketing and web video created by interactive agencies, designers and creators worldwide. It is the first major web competition of its kind to allow national and international entries. This year, www.mgmgrand.com, designed in partnership with the Canadian agency Sid Lee (formerly Diesel), was awarded a W3 Gold Award, along with industry leaders UPS, adidas, Gucci, Abercrombie & Fitch and Nike. The MGM Grand website’s unique interactive video displays the ideal Las Vegas vacation. From the moment visitors enter the site, the click of a button provides a video exploration of the resort, highlighting the exclusive amenities available. With the same ease, visitors looking to book a vacation or purchase tickets get immediate access to reservations, information and upcoming events.
Earlier this year, www.mgmgrand.com received Best Corporate Communications Website at the 2007 Webby Awards. Other awards received include Best in Show at The Digital Marketing Awards in Canada, Best Website of the Month - August by the Favorite Website Awards and Best Website at the Las Vegas Interactive Media Awards.
