Marriott International Introduces Courtyard by Marriott Brand to Thailand

Courtyard by Marriott Brand Continues Growth Throughout Asia-Pacific

Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) has introduced its Courtyard by Marriott hotel brand to Thailand with the opening of the 318-room Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Bangkok under a management agreement with The Erwan Group PLC. The hotel is Marriott’s ninth property in Thailand and fourth in Bangkok.

The general manager is Nicholas Tse. Thaveechai Lertaramratanais the director of sales and marketing. To celebrate the opening, the hotel will offer a special introductory rate of 3,800 Bhat ($120 USD).

The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Bangkok is located in the heart of Bangkok on Rajdamri Road. The hotel is in the vicinity of a number of fashionable restaurants, office centers, shopping complexes, embassies and diplomatic missions. The Bangkok International Airport is approximately a 30-minute drive away and Bangkok’s elevated light-rail system, which offers access to the rest of the city, is only a short walk from the hotel.

Courtyard by Marriott hotels are designed for today’s business traveler who wants to make the most of their time on the road and desire consistent, high quality accommodations and services at affordable prices. The Courtyard guest balances achievement and productivity with enjoyment, and actively manages the demands of business travel with the pursuit of personal time. The hotel serves as the traveler’s personal base to refresh and recharge as they seek out new experiences in their location and make the most out of their time on the road. Introduced more than 20 years ago, the Courtyard by Marriott brand is now Marriott’s largest brand with almost 800 properties worldwide and ranks as the 13th largest lodging brand in the world.

The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Bangkok boasts 314 elegantly appointed guestrooms and four suites. Each guestroom will feature a superb working desk, high-speed internet and 32-inch LCD flat screen TV. For the ultimate in relaxation, the hotel will soon feature “Treatments on Two” a two treatment room spa that boasts a menu including heated herbal massages and an invigorating coffee and spice scrub massage. In addition, the hotel offers a state-of-the-art fitness center with outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool.

The hotel will offer guests a wide range of delicious fare at its all-day dining restaurant, MoMo Café. For guests looking for a nightcap, the MoMo Bar offers classic cocktails, exquisite snacks and afternoon tea. In-room dining will also be available.

In Bangkok, the Marriott International portfolio consists of the 441-room JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok, the 162-room The Mayfair Marriott Executive Apartments Bangkok and the 417-room Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa. Elsewhere in Thailand, the Marriott International portfolio includes the 265-room JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, the 78-room Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa, the 216-room Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa and the 290-room Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa.

The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Bangkok, along with over 2,500 Marriott-affiliated hotels worldwide, participates in Marriott Rewards, the guest reward program that allows members to earn their choice of points or airline miles for every dollar spent during each stay.
