Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. today announced the appointment of Richard Lundt as General Manager for the 251 guestroom Marriott Plaza San Antonio. The hotel, which recently completed a $5 million renovation, occupies a six acre park-like setting that is steps from the City's famous River Walk.
Mr. Lundt first joined Crestline Hotels & Resorts in 2005 as the General Manager for the Omaha Marriott, also a Crestline managed hotel. Prior to that position he was a Regional Manager for North Central Management and oversaw their portfolio of Hilton Garden Inns. He has more than 17 years of hospitality industry management experience including positions with Lodgian Hotels, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Red Lion Hotels.

The Marriott Plaza San Antonio
The 251-room Marriott Plaza San Antonio is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just steps away from the famed River Walk, the historic Alamo, and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Nestled on six acres of sun-bathed courtyards, the hotel includes sparkling fountains and lush gardens complete with free-roaming Chinese pheasants and peacocks. The hotel combines a resort atmosphere in a downtown setting.
Guests are welcomed into a totally refurbished Lobby that is bright and airy with comfortable lounge seating inviting conversation and networking. In addition, there is a dual fireplace, ottomans, and two flat-screened TVs for guests' enjoyment. In the Anaqua Restaurant, guests will enjoy oversized stuffed chairs which look out upon the hotel's lush courtyard which is home to the famed peacocks and pheasants. Restaurant service includes a state-of-the-art buffet-area providing exceptional presentation and food.
Each guest room and suite was completely redesigned and renovated to meet the preferences of today's business and leisure guests who prefer a more residential look and feel for accommodations. All rooms are redecorated with new furniture, comfortable seating to include an ergonomic chair at the spacious desks, all new artwork and lighting that can be adjusted for work or relaxation. In addition, the hotel has incorporated Marriott's new standard for bedding which includes white-on-white plush bedding, 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, down comforters nestled inside sheeted duvets, six down pillows including euroshams, and a colorful bed scarf. The duvet covers are freshly laundered for each new guest. Each guest bathroom was completely refurbished with new granite countertops, wall decor, a bowed shower curtain and new shelving for towels and personal toiletries.
The hotel features amenities for both the business and leisure traveler including: 15 meeting rooms; a health club; spa services; a heated outdoor pool; tennis courts; valet parking; business center; and the Anaqua Restaurant and the Palm Terrace Lounge, as well as room service.
