Corinthia Aquincum Hotel Becomes Ramada Plaza Budapest

The 310-room Corinthia Aquincum Hotel in Budapest, Hungary, has joined the Ramada International lodging system and was renamed Ramada Plaza Budapest at a re-flagging ceremony held on Monday, 15th October 2007. The hotel, owned by the Malta-based Corinthia Group and operated by Corinthia Hotels International, has recently upgraded its facilities in line with the exacting standards required by the upscale Ramada Plaza Brand.

Located on the Buda side of the city, facing Margaret Island and five kilometres from the city-centre, the Ramada Plaza Budapest will continue to be operated by Corinthia Hotels International in line with its joint venture agreement with the US based Wyndham Hotel Group. The Hotel will be Ramada International’s second property in Budapest and Hungary. The Ramada brand has nearly 900 hotels in 33 countries around the globe.

Welcoming Mr Balázs Bús, Mayor of Budapest`s 3rd district at the re-flagging event in front of the Hotel, newly appointed General Manager Tamas Fazekas said "We are excited about becoming a Ramada Plaza hotel. Eleven years of Corinthia operations have given this hotel an excellent reputation as one of Budapest’s leading business, leisure and Spa hotels. Ramada Plaza’s strong brand presence on the International scene now provides us with a perfect platform from which to reach an ever-wider customer base for our top class product” Concluded the general manager.

The Ramada Plaza Budapest offers 310 air-conditioned rooms and suites, 24-hour room service, an executive lounge, conference and banqueting facilities for up to 300 delegates, high speed and Wi-Fi internet access, secretarial and business centre services, a natural Thermal Spa and fitness centre with indoor pool, two restaurants, bars and lounges, in-house laundry service, beauty parlour, shops and secure parking.
