Stefan Flury becomes Director of Operations Switzerland as of 27 October 2007. With the appointment, he also returns to running the day-to-day operations as General Manager of the Mövenpick Hotel Zürich-Airport, succeeding René M. Singeisen.
“After seven years as Senior Vice President Europe it was my wish to return to day-to-day operations,” explains Stefan Flury. “I am very much looking forward to further strengthen and re-confirm the Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts brand as a quality hospitality and top employer in Switzerland.”
As Senior Vice President, Stefan Flury has run the European Region since 2000, playing a major part in the positive developments and spectacular openings of new Mövenpick Hotels in Istanbul, Amsterdam, Berlin and Hamburg.
“With the upcoming renovations and extensions of the Mövenpick Hotels in Geneva, Lausanne, Egerkingen and Regensdorf, Stefan Flury is taking on a key position,” says Jean Gabriel Pérès, President & CEO Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. “Switzerland is a very important market for the company, where we have plans to expand further.”
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is currently sourcing for a successor as Senior Vice President Europe, and an interim organization is in place.
