Marriott International to Introduce Courtyard by Marriott Brand to Hong Kong

Offering Guests Greater Freedom on the Road, Courtyard by Marriott Brand Experiences Continued Growth Worldwide

Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) will introduce its Courtyard by Marriott hotel brand to Hong Kong this December with the opening of the 245-room Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Hong Kong under a management agreement with Tsinlien Realty Ltd.

The general manager is Gary Fung. Loraine Berry is the director of marketing. To celebrate the opening, the hotel will offer a special introductory rate of HK $1300 (USD $167) per night.

The Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong is located on a harbor-front site in the Sai Ying Pan district on Hong Kong Island. The hotel will be the first internationally branded, mid-tier hotel in Hong Kong and Marriott International’s fourth hotel in the city. Conveniently situated near the Macau Ferry Pier, the hotel is located within easy access of the financial district in Central as well as the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in Wanchai. To assist guests with transportation in the city, the hotel will offer the convenience of free shuttle bus service between the Sheung Wan, Central and Wanchai districts.

Courtyard by Marriott hotels are designed for today’s business traveler who wants to make the most of their time on the road and desire consistent, high quality accommodations and services at affordable prices. The Courtyard guest balances achievement and productivity with enjoyment, and actively manages the demands of business travel with the pursuit of personal time. The hotel serves as the traveler’s personal base to refresh and recharge as they seek out new experiences in their location and make the most out of their time on the road. Introduced more than 20 years ago, the Courtyard by Marriott brand is now Marriott’s largest brand with almost 800 properties worldwide and ranks as the 13th largest lodging brand in the world.

The Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong will boast 245 elegantly appointed guestrooms offering luxury finishes superior to many upmarket hotels in Hong Kong . Each guestroom will feature marble appointed bathrooms with blissful rainforest showerheads, plush bed and bath linens, stylish oversized glass top work desks, and high-speed internet access. To ensure guests stay at peak performance, the hotel will offer a full business center with two work stations, executive lounge and 24 hour state-of-the-art fitness center.

The hotel will offer guests a wide range of delicious fare at its all-day dining restaurant, MoMo Café. For guests looking for a quick bite, the MoMo Café to Go will offer healthy snacks and meals to take with them on the go. In-room dining will also be available.

The Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong, along with over 2,500 Marriott-affiliated hotels worldwide, participates in Marriott Rewards, the guest reward program that allows members to earn their choice of points or airline miles for every dollar spent during each stay.
