With four nights of Jazz music in the new Golden Tulip Antwerp Centre hotel, International and local musicians, special guests and Golden Tulip celebrated the soft opening of the hotel, BRANCHE Restaurant, Bar & Lounge and ‘Let’s Meet Again’ meeting centre

Golden Tulip is proud to announce the opening of the newly built Golden Tulip Antwerp Centre. The hotel is the first hotel in a line of hotels to be built in Belgium and Luxembourg in the coming five years.

Golden Tulip’s current Belgian hotel portfolio comprises of five hotels; the group aims to develop over 10 additional hotels by 2012 in locations such as Leuven, Gent, Bruges and Oostende.

Golden Tulip Antwerp Centre is a state of the art hotel located in the heart of the City, next to the world renowned diamond centre and the Central Station of Antwerp. As of December, the high speed train will be using the facilities at this Central Station, brining Amsterdam 1 hours and 15 minutes from Antwerp and Paris just over 2 hours.

The hotel’s facilities consist out of 170 luxurious rooms, suites and apartments. The hotel is suitable for business related activities with 13 multi-functional "Let's Meet Again" meeting rooms. The hotel will also feature a Jazz Lounge on the 12 floor, called the “The 12th Floor” Golden Tulip also opened its 5th BRANCHE Restaurant Bar & Lounge at this Golden Tulip.

A mega JAZZ event was held at “The 12th Floor” of the Golden Tulip Antwerp Centre for the soft opening of the hotel. Where 20 local and international musicians performed in 7 different concerts; Belgian, Dutch, Luxembourgian, Greek, Israeli and South-African musicians creating an unforgettable experience of Jazz and its genres. Some of the musicians performing in the four-day event were: Arne Van Coillie, Henk de Laat, Pascal Schumacher, Jef Neve, Pieter Vandergooten quartet, Ifrahin Stefanolopous, VanRompay trio, Fables of Fungus, Ivan Paduart and Tutu Puane.

BRANCHE Restaurant, Bar & Lounge opened its doors simultaneously with the opening of the new hotel in Antwerp. BRANCHE Antwerp offers a unique concept designed to fulfil all your expectations and intending to make you feel at home, relax as in your own living room. All accompanied by the sounds of our unique light jazz and lounge music collection. The BRANCHE Antwerp will offer an extensive Jazz programme for the coming months.
