When the ultra- luxurious oceanfront The Regent Bal Harbour debuts on January 2nd in Bal Harbour Village, it will not merely be the first new hotel in a half-century to be built in this glamorous, beach-blessed destination ... although that in itself would be news. The Regent Bal Harbour will also bring an unprecedented level of sophistication, service and serenity -- with an international flair -- to South Florida.

A CHIC DESTINATION, A REFINED AND MODERN DESIGN

The exclusive Bal Harbour Village beach community, located in North Miami Beach, has been an upscale haven for decades. Bal Harbour Shops' chic boutiques -- among them, Hermes, Chopard, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Jimmy Choo -- are a luxe shopping and people-watching destination for those who demand the best. The opening of The Regent Bal Harbour is sure to up the exclusivity index with a stunning spirit-of-place design, incorporating an Art Moderne nod to Miami's vibrant architectural legacy, and a 21st century glass facade which soars and curves like a ship's sails. This site-sensitive 17-story, 124-room oasis, located on one of Bal Harbour's most pristine white-sand beaches, affords inspiring views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway and Miami's city lights. Designed for timeless elegance, The Regent Bal Harbour will house a specially-commissioned, museum-quality art and sculpture collection by established and emerging American artists, whose works evoke the hotel's Asian heritage.

"The Regent Bal Harbour promises guests The Regent Experience(SM) which combines the warmth and culture of the local community with unrivaled luxury standards," says General Manager Guenter Richter, whose pedigree includes The St. Regis and The Waldorf Astoria in New York and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. "The result is hospitality that will be both richly personalized and genuine."

STYLISH GUESTROOMS WITH AN ASIAN FLAIR

As befits this prestigious international hotelier, guest rooms reflect the Regent philosophy -- elegant, sublime sanctuary, with subtle Asian influences that are a Regent legacy. All guest rooms are accessed by semi-private or private elevators to ensure the utmost privacy; the absence of noisy hallways not only creates a quiet haven, but also means that the suites will have both ocean and bay views. Guest rooms feature 52-inch plasma screen televisions and Anichini(R) linens, and have private terraces. The bathrooms will have free-standing bathtubs set before 10-foot floor-to-ceiling windows with vistas of the water. In a thoughtful Regent touch, all showers have a "toe-tap" groove for testing water temperature before entering.

LEISURE PLEASURES

Whether lounging on the hotel's private 750-foot beach, swimming in the expansive infinity-edge pool, or unwinding in poolside cabanas and private Roman hot tubs, guests will experience a level of personalized service that has become a Regent signature. Cabanas, in a separate area near the pool for privacy, will have flat-screen TVs, WiFi and minibars and room for private dining. Beach and pool attendants will provide sunscreen, portable DVD players and iPods, iced towels and beverages for carefree relaxation. A fully- equipped fitness center with onsite personal trainers, a full compliment of water sports and nearby marina for sunset sails and fishing expeditions will fulfill any guest's leisure whims. And for those who consider shopping a sport, the resort's luxury car will whisk guests to and from the exclusive Bal Harbour Shops.

Discriminating diners will find culinary adventure and Regent-class service at the signature ocean-view restaurant One Bleu, where the Executive Chef will offer an inspired, contemporary menu focusing on savory seafood prepared with a Mediterranean flair. Guests may also dine poolside in a more casual atmosphere.

THE GUERLAIN SPA -- AN OASIS OF LUXE AND CALM

The Guerlain Spa -- a 15-room, 10,000 square-foot tranquil oasis with bamboo flooring, a limestone waterfall, customized wet suite for hydrotherapy/Vichy treatments and waterfront terrace -- offers exquisite pampering with European flair. With spectacular views of Baker's Haulover Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean from every Zen-soothing treatment suite -- each equipped with an en-suite bathroom for maximum privacy and seclusion -- guests will indulge in the latest spa delights, with Guerlain's world-famous skincare products administered by highly-skilled therapists. Signature treatments include the Exceptional Orchidee Imperiale, Five-Senses Hydrotherapy, and a menu of Harmonizing Massages, all incorporating the latest anti-ageing technology, certain to soothe body, mind and spirit.
