Banyan Tree Bangkok, the Thai capital’s internationally awarded all-suite hotel, has expanded its world-class services and facilities to better cater to the growing business travel, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Exhibitions) as well as the events market.

The series of extensive renovations, which began in 2005 and completed in May 2007, includes the enlargement of its popular Banyan Tree Club floor to take up an entire high floor area as well as the addition of a grand ballroom.

Banyan Ballroom
Banyan Tree Bangkok’s latest facility addition is the exquisitely designed Banyan Ballroom, a venue that can accommodate up to 400 guests for business functions and glittering events. Located on the 10th floor, the Ballroom boasts a five-metre high ceiling and was designed to offer striking views of Bangkok’s streets as well as the warm glow of naturally transitioning daylight. With the hotel’s centrally located business district address, Banyan Ballroom is ideal for conferences, meetings, gala dinners, fashion shows and exhibitions.

Banyan Tree Club
Re-launched in May 2007 to unveil improved amenities, the Banyan Tree Club now occupies an entire floor on the 19th level of Banyan Tree Bangkok. Banyan Tree Club Floor guests can now enjoy additional facilities and services at its fully serviced Business Centre, including mobile telephone and laptop rental. Club Floor guests can also make use of the convenient check-out and trip planning services rendered by the friendly Club hosts.

Banyan Tree Club is also the only Executive Club with priority spa facilities - Club Floor guests enjoy the exclusive use of two spa treatment suites. Furthermore, an extensive daily international breakfast buffet spread is also served on the Club Floor for guests who may prefer to start off their day on a quieter note. Other improvements include the renovation of 50 Banyan Tree Club Suites bearing a refreshed new look.

Banyan Tree Spa
May 2007 also saw the re-opening of Banyan Tree Spa Bangkok after renovations to further enhance its premier positioning in Thailand’s spa industry. The spa now has 16 well-appointed treatment rooms, including three brand new Grand Spa Suites built for couples, on the 19th and 20th floors to provide Banyan Tree’s signature spa sanctuary experience for guests to relax and recharge. For the first time in Bangkok, Banyan Tree’s signature hydrotherapy Rainmist experience is now available to spa guests.

New Dining Experiences
Apsara 1, the luxury-dining cruise, was introduced in January 2007, opening the doors to a new dining and sightseeing experience on the famed Chao Phraya River for couples, families, or corporate travelers. Apsara I serves contemporary Thai cuisine from Saffron, Banyan Tree Bangkok’s signature restaurant on the 51st and 52nd floors, which also received a design makeover.

This latest dining option is the most recent addition to Banyan Tree Bangkok’s expansive cuisine experience which includes two restaurants that made their debut in 2006: Taihei, a trendy split level Japanese restaurant with panoramic view on the 53rd and 54th floors; and Pier 59, a modern seafood venue on the 59th floor.

Banyan Tree Exclusives
In conjunction with Banyan Tree Bangkok’s new offerings, comprehensive Banyan Exclusive Packages have been specially tailored for companies seeking full day corporate meeting packages.
