Radisson Hotels & Resorts® and Select Comfort Corporation (NASDAQ:SCSS) today announced a renewed partnership, which builds on a 2004 agreement that made SLEEP NUMBER® beds available in Radisson Hotels & Resorts in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. The updated agreement creates an opportunity for more travelers to enjoy a high level of personal choice and comfort in bedding by offering both Radisson and Select Comfort the potential to geographically expand the current relationship.
“We are very pleased about the new agreement because the Sleep Number bed has helped Radisson stand apart in the minds of frequent travelers,” said Nancy Johnson, executive vice president of full-service hotels for Radisson Hotels & Resorts. “Radisson is committed to providing travelers with an experience that meets their individual needs for comfort and service, and the Sleep Number bed is an important part of this ‘Stay Your Own Way’ strategy.”
Johnson added that two-thirds of Radisson guests are aware that the properties offer the Sleep Number® bed, and guests rate “comfortable beds” as one of the strengths of Radisson properties.
“Our mission is to improve people’s lives by improving their sleep,” explained Jim Raabe, senior vice president and chief financial officer for Select Comfort, who also oversees the company’s hospitality efforts. “Our continued commitment to our successful partnership with Radisson means more people will realize the role a personalized sleep surface plays in getting a good night’s sleep – both on the road and in their homes.”
About the Sleep Number Bed
Unlike traditional innerspring mattresses made from metal coils or springs, the Sleep Number bed uses dual-adjustable air chambers to provide a gentle cushion of support that can be easily adjusted to anyone’s preference – called a Sleep Number® setting – for personalized comfort, firmness and support.
