Chef Chanthy Yen, who was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario and has Cambodian roots, took home top honors on Food Network Canada’s 11th season of Top Chef Canada in December. He has also worked as a personal chef for the Canadian prime minister and helmed the kitchen at a Michelin Guide-recommended restaurant in Vancouver.
He will prepare a special dinner menu and cooking class at Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Siem Reap from March 14-16, and exclusive dinners and lunches at Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh from March 19-21.
At Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor, Chef Chanthy Yen will serve an extraordinary 5-course tasting menu (priced at $90++) at the hotel’s award-winning 1932 restaurant on March 14 and 15, in addition to a 4-course cooking class on March 16 (priced at $85++) at Raffles Marquee.
At Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Chef Chanthy Yen will present a delectable 5-course set dinner (priced at $82++) and a 3-course set lunch (priced at $36++), with wine pairing options available starting from $32++. Dinner will be served from 6:30pm to 10:30pm and lunch from 12pm to 3pm at the hotel’s celebrated Restaurant Le Royal.
Chef Chanthy Yen’s culinary style blends his Cambodian heritage with a rich mix of international influences, honed through mentorships with culinary icons like chefs Ferran Adrià and Andoni Luis Aduriz. He focuses on purposeful cuisine, crafting dishes that fuse vivid, aromatic flavors with sophisticated, modern techniques—imagine Cambodian staples reinterpreted with a Canadian flair or via plant-based innovations.
Reservations for all meals with Chef Chanthy Yen are strongly recommended.
