In this pivotal role, Carr will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and management of technology initiatives within the company.

As head of the group’s Information System and Technology department, he will focus on Rotana’s continued digital transformation, improvements to operational efficiency, and cybersecurity, effectively supporting the group’s overarching growth plans.

Carr will also be key in leading cross-departmental thinking and collaboration, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

Commenting on the announcement, Philip Barnes, CEO of Rotana said, "In today’s fast-paced and highly competitive hospitality industry, technology plays a crucial role in shaping the guest experiences, streamlining operations, and maintaining a competitive edge. With this in mind, I am delighted to announce Dominic Carr’s promotion to Chief Information Officer. Carr joined Rotana in 1997 and has played a key role in the growth of the company since then.

Previously Corporate Vice President – Technology & Customer Experience, he effectively navigated a dynamic landscape, driving Rotana’s digital transformation and data management projects to date.

As part of his role, Carr was also responsible for vendor evaluation and selection. Carr holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Hospitality Management from Anglia University.

Rotana currently operates 81 hotels across the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Türkiye, serving millions of guests annually.
