The Djibouti Palace Kempinski have announced the appointment of Francesca Barba as Director of Sales and Marketing. A talent in her field with broad international experience at luxury hotels including the Rocco Forte Hotel Astoria in St Petersburg and Hilton in Brussels.

Prior to joining Kempinski in Africa, Francesca was the Director of Business Development for Russia and CIS Countries for the World Leading Catering Company, Potel and Chabot. Prior to that she spent several years with Rocco Forte in Russia, Hilton, Marriott and Club Med. Francesca experience in the hospitality industry includes managing the Italian glamorous " Palazzo Viviani", the Celeberity Hotel owned by the Italian fashion designer Alberta Ferretti.

Within this role she is charge of fostering and maintains interaction with domestic and international Tourism Actors and assist the Country Office of Tourism in becoming greater. Under Francesca’s stewardship, the Sales and Marketing scope of activities have broadened considerably, close relationships have been built with numerous Ministers, Trade bodies, Airlines, Niche Tour Operators and Film Companies.

Born in Italy, Francesca was raised in USA and France, were she studied Marketing in Paris and speaks fluent 6 languages She will reside in Africa.
