This is a press release selected by our editorial committee and published online for free on 2022-04-06
The fund will be attributed at the discretion of the AAIMHI board and the scholarship sponsor to one or more carefully selected student(s) of the IMHI program, as a direct payment of his IMHI tuition fee.
The aim of the Divers’IMHI fund is to promote the diversity of our international students and will, as much as possible, be rewarded to students from the country, region, or culture of the sponsor - or to students from recognized minority groups.
Recipients are students that have been fully accepted to the IMHI program and have finalized the necessary admission process.
To launch the first Divers’IMHI fund, we are grateful to Ramsay Rankoussi (H11), for his generous donation.
Ramsay is currently Vice President and Head of Development Africa & Turkey for the Radisson Hotel Group. Based in Dubai, Ramsay leads the Group’s strategic growth across Africa & Turkey with a team based in Dubai and Cape Town and previously led all efforts across the Middle East. Ramsay is the youngest member of Radisson Hotel Group’s Business Leadership Team and directly reports to the Global Chief Development Officer.
A Belgian national, Ramsay is fluent in multiple languages and with a multi-cultural background. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and the IMHI MBA (Concentration Hotel Real Estate Finance and Asset Management).
Ramsay has agreed to sponsor a selected student for the class of 2024 and has donated the symbolic amount of 4.015 Euros, corresponding to one Euro per day for the 11th anniversary of his graduation.
Commenting on the launch of the scholarship fund, Ramsay said “It is without a doubt that my journey at IMHI contributed positively to my career but also led me to my current role. Launching this fund with the alumni association represents the importance of repaying my debt of gratitude for all I have benefited from the program. I also hope this first step will encourage other alumni to participate but will also translate in a pay it forward movement for the future selected students.”
Monika Moser, President of AAMHI also commented “The IMHI Alumni Association has always been dedicated to reinforcing the sense of community among all students, previous and future ones but more than ever, we felt it was relevant to create an opportunity for prospective students to access alternative scholarships. Leading this initiative within our association demonstrates the commitment we have towards recognizing diversity and providing equal chances to everyone.”
We would like to sincerely thank Ramsay for giving back to the community with his generous donation and for being a continuously active member of our strong alumni association.
