’It is always a great motivation for my teams and I to compete for the Michelin stars and to be rewarded for our collective work that excites me every day. The Savoyard region is an inspiring terroir to which I am very attached, just like Ariane de Rothschild, who I thank for her trust in me. I am delighted that my culinary interpretation has been recognised by the Michelin Guide!’’ shares Anne-Sophie Pic.

Located in the heart of Four Seasons Hotel Megève – the only hotel in the area with direct access to the ski slopes in winter and the golf course in summer – the restaurant is both intimate and warm, with a touch of modern elegance, and offers panoramic views over Megève and its natural landscape.

Anne-Sophie Pic’s cuisine interprets the restaurant’s natural surroundings, with a menu inspired by the mountains, giving centre stage to cheeses and dairy products. It also gives pride of place to plants; herbs gathered from the wild or from the Hotel’s fragrant garden are honoured in her dishes, bringing nuances of bitterness, camphor and mint.

The Chef also highlights the use of plant spirits, which are traditional in the region.

The use of alcohol in cuisine, such as gin or whiskey, is one of Anne-Sophie’s long-standing passions. Here in particular, Grande Chartreuse liqueurs, gins and local eau-de-vie bring an intense green colour to her cooking.

This award highlights the remarkable work of Chef Anne-Sophie Pic,’’ says Ariane de Rothschild.

‘’I am delighted that our paths have crossed and very grateful for the elegance she infuses into the dishes served at Mont d’Arbois. I am proud of our teams and their determination to excel since the opening of La Dame de Pic – Le 1920. They have risen to the difficult challenge of successfully opening an exceptional restaurant in a difficult context, marked by the pandemic. This award shines a light on the reputation of our establishments and the destination of Megève.’’

With this award, Chef Anne-Sophie Pic now has nine Michelin stars worldwide; with three stars in Valence, two stars in Lausanne, two stars in London, one star in Paris and now one in Megève. Anne-Sophie Pic is the female chef with the most Michelin stars in the world.
