Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has signed an agreement for the development of two new hotels totalling 577 guest rooms in a prime beachfront location in Tel Aviv. The ambitious new development will see the introduction of Hilton’s LXR Hotels & Resorts and Curio Collection by Hilton to the dynamic Israel market, joining Hilton Tel Aviv, Vista at Hilton Tel Aviv and Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton said:For more than half a century, Hilton has played a critical role in hosting both local and international visitors at our iconic Hilton Tel Aviv. During that time the city has become a thriving cosmopolitan destination, and we’re pleased to be building on Hilton’s legacy in Israel by introducing two extraordinary hotels on Tel Aviv’s beachfront.”

LXR Hotels & Resorts

The 176-room hotel, inclusive of 40 elegant guest suites with balconies overlooking the Mediterranean, will become the latest member of Hilton’s exclusive collection of independent luxury hotels.

Guests will be able to take in panoramic views of the Tel Aviv horizon from multiple points throughout the property including the hotel sky lobby located a staggering 20 floors above the coastline, the destination restaurant and bar serving world-class cuisine as well as from the hotel’s rooftop pool overlooking Tel Aviv’s idyllic beachfront.

This property will be Hilton’s first under LXR Hotels & Resorts in Israel and joins several recent additions in the Seychelles, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Kyoto. Each LXR property represents its unique location and offers a singular travel experience native to its place, history and traditions in alluring destinations around the world.

Curio Collection by Hilton

Hilton’s first hotel in Tel Aviv under Curio Collection by Hilton will be one of the largest in the region when it welcomes guests in 2026, with 401 stylish guest rooms.

The hotel will include a spa, state of the art fitness facilities, a 1300-square-meter ballroom, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and will house five new restaurants and bars, adding to Tel Aviv’s vibrant restaurant scene. For business travellers and corporate events, there will be a large number of private meeting facilities.

Curio Collection by Hilton is a collection of more than 100 hand-picked hotels across the globe, each unique hotel weaving the distinctive local culture into every element, from design, to amenities and service. Recent signings include The Royal Senses Resort Crete and Legacy Hotel Cascais, Portugal.

Tourism in Tel Aviv has been growing steadily, with passenger numbers at Ben-Gurion International airport increasing by 7.5% from 2018 to 2019.

Warm weather, increasing international flight routes and a lively culture to suit all interests make Tel Aviv a much-loved destination for many.

Tel Aviv also plays host to many business travellers as the high-tech business hub is home to the majority of Israeli corporates. Israel’s successful deployment of the vaccination programme has led to increases in market confidence, and Tel Aviv is on track to return to growth as international travel resumes.

The hotels will be located on the waterfront next to Independence Park on HaYarkon Street, moments from an impressive array of Mediterranean bistros and beachfront cocktail bars. The fashion boutiques of Dizengoff Street are a short walk away, as well as the iconic Bauhaus architecture of The White City of Tel Aviv, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For those wishing to see more of the city, Tel Aviv’s Old Port is minutes away and boasts a wide selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and nightlife on its wooden boardwalk.

The new hotels will join the award-winning Hilton Honors guest loyalty programme, allowing more than 112 million members who book directly with Hilton to earn Points for hotel stays and experiences, plus instant benefits including contactless check-in with room selection, Digital Key and Connected Room.

Hilton has two trading hotels in Israel under the brands, Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
