ONCE IN A LIFETIME is a new hotel affiliation that aims to gather homogeneous affiliates based on their size, their quality and their sense of innovation. Each hotel shares aesthetic and artistic values and is an ambassador of its destination.
ONCE IN A LIFETIME is based on an unwavering commitment to quality and proposes an alternative based on the destination and the discovery of exclusive places. The attention paid to listening will allow this new affiliation to meet hoteliers’ needs. It will value each property as an integral part of an exclusive group and aims to be worthy of the investment.
ONCE IN A LIFETIME is based on a flawless expertise which has been forged over numerous years in the luxury hotel industry and that is forward-looking. The new luxury hotel affiliation aspires to gather a maximum of 100 exclusive and complementary affiliates around the world, all of which have a maximum of 100 rooms. It is to be recognised for the quality of accommodation and the innovative service.

This project was initiated by Didier and Olivia le Calvez, who have seen in the course of their careers that luxury hotels are looking for new hotel affiliations for a variety of reasons. With a wealth of experience gained with some of the big names in the hotel industry, Didier and Olivia Le Calvez have created several companies in recent years in the luxury hospitality sector. A figure in the international luxury hotel business, Didier Le Calvez has worked in the world's most prestigious palaces. Always attentive to their environment, Olivia and Didier are aware of the need to innovate. By creating ONCE IN A LIFETIME, they wish to provide, assisted by their team, a new response to meet the expectations of today's and tomorrow's travellers.
Beyond the affiliation program, ONCE IN A LIFETIME provides and guarantees management support and guarantees a financial expertise, the key feature for success and profitability. The affiliate programme places the excellence of the hotel experience at the heart of its strategy and the new service will allow the discovery of exceptional places.
It is an affiliation of like-minded members, whilst preserving the uniqueness of each one. There will 100 full term members around the world.
Villa Clarisse & Spa, created in 2010 by Olivia Le Calvez on the Island of Ré in France is the first member of ONCE IN A LIFETIME. This tastefully renovated former cloister is a haven of peace located in the heart of the village of Saint-Martin-de Ré and is emblematic of the destination. To date, ONCE IN A LIFETIME, following a very selective process, has identified around fifteen potential affiliates. Appointment is given before the end of the first quarter of 2021 to announce the new members.
