“The 2020 Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards feel particularly meaningful this year as travelers yearn to return to their favorite hotels and dream of visiting far off destinations,” said Shannon Knapp, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Leading Hotels of the World. “I am pleased to congratulate our more than 120 hotels that were honored in these prestigious awards. At the start of the pandemic while almost no one was traveling, more than 700,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers cast their votes for the Readers’ Choice Awards. Leading Hotels’ venerable Baur au Lac in Zurich was recognized as the “Best Hotel in the World.” The property boasts a history as breathtaking as its Alp and lakeside setting. It is currently run by Mr. Andrea Kracht, a sixth-generation member of the owning family and the Chairman of Leading Hotels.
