Le Cordon Bleu, the leading global network of culinary arts and hospitality management institutes, is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2020. All around the world, Le Cordon Bleu has prepared an array of festivities to celebrate the different flavours, talents and above all, passion for gastronomy.
In the context of these celebrations, for the first time, Le Cordon Bleu’s network is launching not one but two competitions. One celebrates aspiring culinary professionals all over the world giving them a once in a lifetime opportunity to study at Le Cordon Bleu, the other honours the talent of its graduates by launching the first Alumni trophy of Excellence where former students will compete for the coveted award.
In this, Le Cordon Bleu marks 2020 as a year to celebrate Culinary Excellence with all the passionate and talented, looking at the future generation and honouring current successes.
• Future Talents competition – open to 18 years old and over, looking for a career in hospitality, this competition offers the winners training in Cuisine and/or Pâtisserie in one of our prestigious institutes, among other prizes.
The 1st place will have the chance to study the coveted Grand Diplôme, which comprises of the Diplôme de Cuisine and Diplôme de Pâtisserie. The 2 nd and 3rd place will be able to study the Certificate in Basic Cuisine and Certificate in Basic Pâtisserie respectively.
The competition takes place locally in 16 Le Cordon Bleu state of the arts institutes where 1 out of 16 candidates in each campus are designated to take their chance for the Grand finale in the flagship Paris institute, to take place on October 15th.
• Alumni Trophy of Excellence – Le Cordon Bleu is inviting all its culinary diploma graduates to enter the Alumni competition, for the chance to win the coveted trophy, for either Cuisine or Pâtisserie categories, among many other prizes. The semi-finals take place locally in 8 state of the arts institutes, where 2 candidates per campus (one for Cuisine and one for Patisserie) are given the chance to compete in the finale to take place on October 15th.
Applications to the competitions are open from February 17th until May 3rd, 2020.
