Celebrations kick off on Christmas Eve when the hotel rolls out the red carpet for Santa with a carnival-themed market. The party continues through till a Morning After Brunch on the first day of 2020, to help ease revelers into the next year with a laid-back, indulgent feast.

Below are some of the highlights from the hotel’s comprehensive festive calendar.

A Family-Friendly Christmas Eve Carnival

The hotel’s Market Cafe will reinvent itself on Christmas Eve so guests can pair a feast with funfair. Entertainment for the little ones will include a rubber duck fishing game, face painting, carol singing, a magician and a special buffet line for festival fans with treats like popcorn, cotton candy and bingsu (shaved ice with sweet toppings). The highlight will be Santa’s appearance at the event. The young-at-heart will enjoy live music and an expansive international buffet with live cooking stations and a fresh seafood selection. The fair runs from 6pm – 10:30pm. Prices are inclusive of free-flow water and soft drinks and are THB 2,200 ++ per person and THB 1,100 ++ for children ages 6-12. Alcoholic beverage packages start from an additional THB 1,100 ++ per person.

Spectrum Christmas Eve Surprise

Guests will get a head start on unwrapping presents at Spectrum’s Surprise Me Dinner on December 24th. The three-course meal won’t be revealed until diners unwrap the presents awaiting on their plates. The night will begin with a welcome drink and live jazz will play throughout the evening as the night’s feast reveals itself. Dinner will run from 6pm – 10:30pm at Spectrum Lounge & Bar on the 29th Floor. Prices are THB 2,500 ++ per person or 3,500 ++ per person with wine pairing.

A Christmas in Pink

Everything looks better through rose-colored glasses. However at Hyatt Regency Bangkok you won’t need tinted frames to see pink. The hotel is embracing the color of love and affection on Christmas Day with a special pink-themed brunch. The first hint of the hue begins with a welcome drink, followed by rose wine and sparkling wine, and a food station dressed in pastel. The international buffet will include over 30 dishes that span the world with cuisine from Thailand, France, Italy, and China. The indulgent brunch will be held at Spectrum Lounge & Bar from 11:30am – 3pm. The festive meal costs THB 2,200 ++ per person, THB 1,100 ++ for children ages 6-12. Alcoholic beverage packages start from an additional THB 1,550 ++ per person. Free-flow water and soft drinks are included in the base price.

A New Year’s Fair Thai-Style

Market Café goes back to its Thai roots on the last day of 2019 with a special evening inspired by a Thai temple fair. Traditional Thai performances and a live band will be more than just an accompaniment to an authentic Thai feast. Local favorites like grilled river prawns, fresh seafood, honey-roasted duck, and Thai desserts, will feature prominently on the buffet. Some western dishes like rack of lamb and beef tomahawk will also be a highlight of the offering. Games like ball pit and duck fishing will keep the kids entertained. The event will run from 6:30pm – 11pm at Market Café on the hotel’s 4th floor. Dinner is THB 2,800 ++ per person, THB 1,400 ++ for children ages 6-12. Diners can add an alcoholic beverage package for an additional THB 1,100 ++ per person, otherwise free-flow water and soft drinks is included.

An Inexplicable New Year’s Eve Dinner

To mark the last day of the year a four-course set dinner will be served at Spectrum, atop the Hyatt Regency Bangkok. The decadent feast includes a scallop salad, pear and black truffle soup, a choice of Angus beef or Maine lobster, and Thai basil and lime sorbet. Dinner guests will enjoy human art performances during their meal. Those seeking something a little sweeter than sorbet can stop by Spectrum’s library room, where there will be an all-you-can-eat selection of desserts and cheeses, throughout the evening. The special meal will be served on New Year’s Eve from 6pm – 10:30pm at Spectrum Lounge & Bar on the 29th floor. Dinner costs THB 4,900++ per person, inclusive of a glass of champagne.

The Inexplicable Party Overlooking Bangkok

Spectrum Lounge & Bar spans the top three floors of the Hyatt Regency Bangkok and two of those floors will be dedicated to guests wanting to have a few drinks while also drinking in panoramic views of the city. International DJs will get revelers moving and abstract performances will add to the entertainment. Those after a midnight snack will appreciate the unlimited truffle fries and oyster corner that will be set up on the night. The party starts at 9:30pm. Prices are THB 1,500 net for entrance and one glass of Prosecco; THB 10,000 ++ for two persons with a private seat, a bottle of spirit + six mixers or a bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne; THB 20,000 ++ for four persons with a private cabana, two bottles of spirit + 12 mixers or a bottle of Dom Pérignon. Advance seat reservation is strongly recommended.

‘The Morning After’ Brunch

2019 may be over but that doesn’t mean the party needs to stop. Spectrum will be open on New Year’s Day and serving up an international brunch buffet for those looking for fine food and a relaxing start to the next decade. An international breakfast selection will be on offer alongside some special items like baked Oysters Rockefeller, slow-roasted pork rack, and Wagyu beef boat noodles. Early risers can get started from 6am while party-goers may appreciate the brunch doesn’t end till 2:30pm. The cost is THB 1,000 net per person and THB 500 net for children aged 6-12.
