Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts has just picked up a top award in the 2019 Digital Marketing Monitor Rankings. Steigenberger, a Deutsche Hospitality brand, scored 93.3 percent of the maximum available points in the “Hotel” category to emerge as the leading benchmark amongst the 46 national and international hotel groups that were evaluated. It also secured an impressive 3rd position in the rankings for the tourism industry as a whole, a section in which 288 German speaking companies were competing.
“We are delighted that the jury members were convinced by our robust in-house digital strategy,” said Ralf Denke, Vice President E-Business. “Our clear focus on the guest has allowed us to explore new pathways and to try out and establish new formats. Seeing courage and creativity rewarded in this way is an outstanding confirmation of the efforts put in by the entire team.”
The “2019 Digital Marketing Monitor” study was conducted in conjunction with the Deutsche Dialog Verband e.V. (DDV), a leading trade association representing companies in the communication sector. A total of 5,030 top German speaking companies from nine industry sectors were analysed on the basis of 79 criteria relating to areas such as websites, search engines, social media and e-mail communication.
