The premiere of the two Singapore properties marks the group’s entry into city locations. Six Senses Duxton with 49 guest rooms and suites will open on April 15, followed by Six Senses Maxwell with 120 rooms and suites three months later.

Murray began his career in 1991 after graduating with an international diploma in Hotel Management from the Hotel School of South Africa. Over the last two decades he has worked in a number of countries including South Africa, Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands, West Indies, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore with prestigious hospitality brands including Rosewood, Swissotel, Regent Hotels and Resorts, Raffles Hotels and Resorts and ONYX Hospitality. More recently Murray has been running his own hospitality company based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

As a South African, with Scottish and Dutch heritage, Murray enjoys everything hotel and travel related, with a deep passion for food and beverage. “I am delighted to join the Six Senses family and also to return to Singapore. Managing these two gorgeous hotels that are minutes apart offers our team the opportunity to create rich experiences and content that celebrate the offerings of each hotel along with everything the vibrant neighbourhood has to offer,” said Murray.
