Skiing in private classes or independently, from snowboarding to cross-country skiing, guests can experience all facets of this exhilarating sport while those who prefer to rest can always count on the services of different restaurants offering mulled wine and other delicacies, as well as the spa area to spend a relaxing festive season.

For the start of the ski season, winter sports enthusiasts at Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains St. Moritz are presented with excellent snow conditions on the mountains as well as in the valley with most of the 350 km of the first-class skiing area already open. Located in the sporty heart of the chic Alps resort, this luxury hotel has direct access to the Corviglia skiing and hiking region through a neighbouring cable car and offers in-house ski rentals as well as a ski school. Combined with the alpine spa and three award-winning restaurants, including the Michelin-starred restaurant Cà d'Oro, the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains is your perfect hub for any winter vacation.

Warm ski boots, the latest skis and only a few footsteps from the ski room to the slopes. Ski-in or ski-out – into one of the largest ski areas in the Tirol Alps with guaranteed snow cover, currently 40 centimetres of fresh snow stretching down as far as the valley. This spells skiing at the five-star-superior hotel Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol, Austria. This is the only luxury hotel of this category in Kitzbühel and the surrounding area which offers direct access to the slopes. The hotel just re-opened for the 2017/2018 winter season with an exclusive ski opening offer: starting at 280 euros per night for two people including breakfast and a three-course menu – valid until 22 December 2017. An additional new service which the hotel offers starting this winter season is a children’s winter wonderland ski school on the hotels very own grounds. In cooperation with the Jochberg Snow Academy, the little ones can experience their first steps on skis under the guidance of professional instructors. Beyond the KitzSki Resort, Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol offers a wide range of possibilities for a perfect winter day in the Alps: the 3,600 square metre Kempinski The Spa, two restaurants with delicious Tyrolean specialties and euro-Asian menus, and the Kempinski Kids Club with fun activities for children up to 12 years of age.

Awarded the Best Ski Hotel for 2017 by World Ski Awards, the Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko, Bulgaria welcomes from now on its first winter sports lovers. This winter, the hotel is opening its newest Bella Vista Lounge après-ski in style, overlooking the ski road with the most stunning views of the snowy slopes of the Pirin Mountains. The new bar is just next to the main ski road with direct access. The hotel is also introducing a new executive chef, Mr. Trevor Portelli, who is joining the team from the hotel’s sister property in Malta. Another noteworthy enhancement of the hotel is the recent renovation and refurbishment of the Kids Club. The hotel conducted a complete reconstruction and doubled its size. Children now have even more space to play and enjoy different games planned by the hotel’s kids organisers.

The Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras in Slovakia already entered its fairytale season opening its new winter season with fresh snowfall. The ski season in Strbske Pleso resort, less than five minutes away, started already in November with very good snow conditions. Hotel guests can easily access the slopes thanks to the free ski shuttle bus which operates permanently which allows guests to comfortably leave the hotel in ski shoes. After skiing, ski equipment can be stored at the fully equipped ski room conveniently located at the separate winter entrance. Cross country skiing fans can enjoy freshly groomed tracks directly from the hotel during the day, but also at night with artificial lighting. Also this year, the Fresh Track experience is available for those wanting to be first on the slopes before the opening of the official ski lift. If guests at this winter fairytale hotel would like to have fun with their kids, there are sledges at the reception prepared just for them. A warm welcome in the form of mulled wine will melt all the frost after a full day of skiing.

From strolls in the wintry landscape along the shores of the Königssee to ski tours and winter hikes in the Bavarian Alps or Tobogganing fun in the ice channel – there is something for every taste at the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden, Germany. For beginners, advanced, professionals, children and adults – the ski school offers skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and ski tour classes. The lady in red will be delighted to offer personal advice on all the different classes and compile a tailor-made programme. All required equipment can be provided upon request. The mountaineering routes of the untouched nature of the Berchtesgaden National Park are fast becoming an alpine trend, and will allow you to discover the unique Bavarian winter landscape from a different angle. Well away from the known skiing areas, guest can enjoy their first impressions of ski mountaineering directly in the Salewa Skitourenpark on the Obersalzberg or, if experienced, through a challenging tour through this stunning mountain landscape.
