The Peninsula Bangkok has partnered with DVF, the eponymous brand of celebrity designer Diane von Furstenberg, to offer guests an exceptional personal fashion shopping experience. From August, guests can enjoy private shopping from the full range of DVF dresses, shoes, bags, swimwear and accessories without having to leave the hotel.
To further enhance this unique partnership, Executive Pastry Chef Nicolas Pelloie will present a specially crafted afternoon tea throughout September 2017 inspired by DVF’s Fall 2017 collection. The Peninsula DVF-themed Afternoon Tea is the first time that DVF has partnered with a luxury hotel in Thailand to combine modern couture with gourmet cuisine. The three-tiered silver platter will feature traditional scones and healthier, lighter sandwiches to meet the desires of women with a passion for fashion.
The exclusive collaboration between The Peninsula Bangkok and DVF elevates personalised shopping to a new level of convenience. Guests can select and order their purchases from the comfort of their own room, while enjoying breakfast or dinner, or while relaxing in a poolside lounge chair.
After perusing a stylish DVF catalogue, guests simply advise the Concierge at least one day in advance of their desired item(s), including the necessary details, such as size, colour and style. The next day, a bespoke selection of elegant DVF fashions, curated by the DVF stylist team, will be hand-delivered to the hotel. One of the hotel suites becomes a private fitting room, enabling guests to tailor their luxury shopping choices to perfection.
Seamless and convenient, the DVF fashion shopping experience is offered with the compliments of The Peninsula Bangkok. Guests pay only for their purchases, with all other aspects of the service provided free of charge. The array of DVF fashions enables guests to purchase a special on-demand outfit for any occasion, such as the world-famous “wrap dress” for a cocktail party or a night out in Bangkok, or a sophisticated evening dress for a business dinner or gala reception.
