This summer, Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, located steps away from the famed Magnificent Mile, will unveil amulti-million renovation - from corridors to guest rooms. Led by design group BAMO, the renovation infuses residentially-inspired palettes and décor with a Chicago-centric sophistication.

"The refreshed interior design will speak to the modern Four Seasons traveller, as well as the local luxury market in Chicago," states Michele Grosso, the hotel's General Manager.

In the corridors, existing molding and trim inspired a dramatic revamp using wallcovering, lighting and carpet to enhance the architecture with moments of intrigue, such as vibrant black guest room doors. The interpreted Chicago street grid carpet pattern plays off masculine accents, whereas contemporary square pendants and metal fixtures punctuate the space above with light.

When entering the newly-redesigned guest rooms, one immediately notices the deep blue-washed and textured wall and the custom-designed carpet in warm, grayish blues. Long mirrors within the room open up the space with light, and custom millwork pieces frame two sides of the room - an architectural entertainment piece made of English sycamore and Four Seasons “My Bar” setup. In addition, guests will delight in the modern, asymmetrical headboards and crystal prism table lamps.

Drawing exclusively from regional artists, especially from the faculty and alumni at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, new art pieces adorn the walls. The guest room art collection includes Jackie Kazarian’s Marina 3, which highlights iconic Chicago architecture, memories and nostalgia. Scott Fortino's photography, Shears, speaks to his time as a Chicago police officer, adding mystery when set against the dark wallcoverings.

"Working with BAMO, whose hotel portfolio includes Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, we have re-imagined our guest experience while still providing the signature Four Seasons service for which we are known," concludes Grosso.
