Dimitri is a Four Seasons veteran with a wealth of experience that has spanned the globe, and a great spirit and sense of humour. During his 27-year career, Dimitri has opened seven hotels including properties in the US, Egypt, France and Canada.

From New York and Cairo at First Residence to Provence and Toronto, Dimitri has put his passion for excellence and unfaltering pursuit of distinction to the best service of Four Seasons.

For the past nine years, Dimitri has been based in Toronto, Canada, first running the older property and then opening its brand new flagship, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, introducing a whole new level of luxury hospitality in the city.

This is Dimitri’s second assignment in Cairo after being an instrumental leader in 2000 during the opening of the company’s very first hotel in the GCC and Middle East, Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence - a Hotel that set a new benchmark in the region at the time.

In his role as General Manager of Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza, Dimitri will be looking to set new frontiers for what is already a legendary hotel in Cairo and the region at large.  As a Regional Vice President Dimitri will also be in charge of the company’s other properties in Cairo First Residence, Alexandria at San Stefano, Sharm el Sheikh and Baku, Azerbaijan, along with projects that are currently under development in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

Among many awards and accolades over the course of his career, Dimitri has been awarded the prestigious Hotelier of the Year Award from Hotelier MagazineTravel + Leisure Best Hotel in Canada, Condé Nast Traveler USA Top Hot List, Robb Report’s Top 100 Hotels in the World, Forbes Five Star and AAA Five-Diamond Awards, Michelin Stars, Gallivanter's Guide Best Resort in the World and more.

Dimitri earned his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Rhodes School of Hotel Administration in Greece, and his Masters in Professional Studies from a joint program between Cornell University and ESSEC Business School in Paris (IMHI). He is fluent in English, French and Greek.

Dimitri and his wife Vivian are looking forward to living in Cairo again, while their grown daughters will be staying in Toronto.
