Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui unveils a new suite of treatments at The Secret Garden Spa, inspired by the ancient wisdom hidden in Thailand’s herb gardens that revisit ancient wellness techniques to breathe new life into mind, body and soul starting December 2016.

The new Secret Garden Spa concept is inspired by a “back to nature” focus on freshness, clarity and simplicity, complemented by the tranquillity of the Spa’s surroundings and the pure natural goodness of plants and herbs grown at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui. For generations, Thais have carefully-tended these special herbs, plants and flowers and formulated them to create aids to natural wellness. Now the talented Spa therapists at the Resort are drawing out the best of these treasured techniques and weaving them into the bespoke Secret Garden collection.

The new Secret Garden Collection is presented in an innovative format, making it easy to select the right ritual for each guest, from those that balance and soothe to those that revitalise and uplift.

The new signature treatments include Kala Coconut Massage, which uses pure warm coconut oil as well as the smooth shell of the coconut. Flowing strokes and firm pressure ease tense and aching muscles, while the warm aromatic oil hydrates deeply. The Secret Garden Scrubs invite guests to select their preferred organic condiments, secret blends of herbs grown in the Resort’s garden. The coconut oil and jasmine scrub is ideal for hydrating, nourishing and balancing. Guava and makrut lime leaf boost vitamin absorption and deeply cleanse the body while lemongrass boosts immunity and detoxifies. The one-of-a-kind Tree of Life treatment experience, featuring the island’s most nurturing ingredient, coconut, achieves a sort of rhythmic bliss.

In addition, a couples’ treatment in the new collection - Siam Lovers - combines a nourishing coconut oil and jasmine rice scrub with an Earth Energy Four Hand massage, and tops the experience off with a fragrant rose bath in the Spa’s alfresco foliage-fringed tubs.

The Secret Garden Spa is located in a lush sanctuary, nestled amid tropical island foliage miles from the bustle of urban life. The five uniquely designed treatment rooms are housed in traditional salas (covered verandas) where the gentle music of the forest plays in the background.
