Madinat Jumeirah, the Arabian Resort of Dubai, will re-launch its popular Friday brunches at Jumeirah Al Qasr and Jumeirah Mina A’Salam from 15 October. The Resort’s two grand hotels will mark the return of Dubai’s outdoor brunch season with fresh concepts, created by Executive Chef Dirk Haltenhof where guests can discover scrumptious street food-style dishes influenced by global culinary destinations.
Jumeirah Mina A’Salam
The food takes centre stage at this brunch which is set across two restaurants Hanaaya and Tortuga, next to the turtle lagoon. Chefs proudly share cuisine from their homelands and prepare fresh dishes at interactive cooking stations. The expanded terrace offers themed food trucks, with a live action feel as chefs display a myriad of flavours and culinary delicacies. Grab a cheeky curry cone and a taste of Kottu at the Sri Lankan station or coast your palate over to the Mediterranean station with Greek dishes including freshly wrapped chicken gyros and Greek salad jars. Around the bend is the Kabayan corner offering Filipino street market cuisine from coconut cakes wrapped in banana leaf and spicy egg rolls.
Tortuga’s chefs get authentic at the taco and nacho stations with toppings in Molcajete dishes. To seafood lover’s delight, the ice bar includes chilled lobster, crab, prawns and fresh oysters. Design and get creative at the sushi station as the chefs prepare your favourite roll. Enjoy delicious meat at the sizzling global grill with smoked steaks and small bites seasoned to perfection with spiced salts. Dip into hearty American staples like spicy wings, Po-boy sandwiches and rustic coleslaw. And of course, brunch wouldn’t be complete without a breakfast station with eggs benedict and Nutella pancakes.
Explore and prepare to be entertained throughout the brunch as guests can play a round of mini-golf or ring toss and grab some candies on the way out from a whack on the piñatas.
Jumeirah Al Qasr
For those looking to make a splash on the scene and be seen, the extravagant Jumeirah Al Qasr Brunch serves lavish delicacies from three restaurants – American meatery The Hide, Spanish restaurant Al Hambra and the impressive Arboretum.
Highlighted by The New York Times for needing a map to navigate around, the elegant brunch includes ‘molecular cuisine live cooking stations’ featuring exciting themes such as Streets of Bangkok, Orient Express, 1001 nights and Taj Mahal. The newest restaurant addition The Hide offers homemade-can’t-put-your-spoon-down-desserts including apple pie, blueberry cheesecake and campfire s’mores sundaes which will be sure to end the afternoon on a (sugar) high! Guests can also enjoy the ultra-indulgent Valrhona Chocolate Station serving chocolate desserts.
The atmosphere comes into full swing with a two piece band ‘Heart and Soul Duo’ and plenty of games to keep everyone entertained.
The Jumeirah Mina A’Salam Brunch takes place from 12:30 - 4pm every Friday and prices range from AED 425 to AED 525 for adults. Children 12 years old and under dine free.
The Jumeirah Al Qasr Brunch takes place from 12:30 – 4pm every Friday, prices range from AED 495 to AED 895 for adults. Children from four to 12 years old, AED 250 and under four dine free.
