This five-star resort is located in Salamansa, a fishing area in São Vicente, one of the westernmost islands of the Cabo Verde archipelago. The island capital of Mindelo and the Cesaria Evora International Airport are only 10 minutes away.
The new Meliá Salamansa will have 262 rooms, a fantastic spa with six swimming pools, four restaurants and an innovative water sports centre, shops and a leisure and entertainment area.
The project is being promoted by ITS (Inmobiliaria Turística de Salamansa), a private company in Cabo Verde which aims to promote infrastructural development in the STZ, a coastal area owned by the same company which occupies 570 hectares of land between Baía da Salamansa and Baía das Gatas.
Meliá Salamansa will be the fifth hotel for Meliá Hotels International in Cabo Verde and will be operated under the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand. Together with the Meliá Dunas, Meliá Tortuga, Meliá Llana and Meliá White Sands, this hotel means that the hotel company will be managing 3,140 rooms in Cabo Verde taking into account operating hotels and hotels in the pipeline for future opening.
